McCurtain County Local Newspaper: Dec. 29, 1927

I.B. DAVIS DIED MONDAY NIGHT; FUNERAL TUESDAY

I.B. Davis died Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Williams 
in Idabel, after an illness of several days with pneumonia.  Funeral 
service was conducted Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
Williams by Rev. D.A. McReynolds, of Nashville, Arkansas, formerly 
pastor of the Idabel Baptist church.  Burial followed in the Holly 
Creek cemetery.

Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters and two sons, as follows: 
Mrs. M.D. Deck, Idabel; Mrs. Ed Williams, Idabel; Mrs. Fred 
Schmallessee, of Illinois; Guy Davis, Illinois, and Lloyd Davis, 
Idabel.

The News joins the friends of the family in extending sympathy.
