::Rufe Cemetery--Rufe OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper:

Sept. 30, 1926

George W. Dickerson, aged fifty-nine years, died at his home at Rufe,
Wednesday of last week.  Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Freewell
Baptist Church.  The remains were laid to rest at the Rufe cemetery,
following funeral services conducted by the Rev. C.A. Sledge of Valliant.

Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife, five children as follows, John
Dickerson, Mrs. Mary Tollett, Mrs. Sam Austin, and Mrs. Carry Perrin,
and Miss Dora Dickerson; also two sisters, Mrs. Zona Teters, Cove, Ark., 
Mrs. Melvina Chandler, Shamrock, Texas; Harve Dickerson, Cove, Ark., and
Steve Dickerson of Broken Bow.

Mr. Dickerson was a good man and a good citizen and the many friends of
the family will be sorry to hear of his death.
