Obituary: Rupert Edge

Rupert Edge, 71, Idabel, died Monday morning at his home.     

Funeral services were to be set this week with Coffey-Ruiz Funeral 
Home in charge of arrangements.     

Edge was born March 13, 1907, in Alabama, and was a member of the 
First Baptist Church in Idabel. A retired school bus driver and a 
former deputy sheriff, he had been employed as a security guard for 
McCurtain Memorial Hospital.  He had lived the the area since 1931.    

Survivors include his wife Alice of the home; a son, Ervin Edge of 
Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Rosemary Pillow of Aberdeen, 
Scotland, and Kathy Lee of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a grandson, 
Christopher Edge.
