MAGGIE LEE EDWARDS Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church here Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 for Mrs. Maggie Lee Edwards who died at a Paris, Texas Sanitarium Tuesday morning at 12:15 following an illness of several months duration with sinus trouble and complications following Influenza. Rev. R.R. Craig, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Idabel conducted the services. Burial was made in the Broken Bow Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Broken Bow. Surviving are her husband, Earl Edwards; daughter, Norma Jo Orrell; her mother, Mrs. J.D. Tolleson; one brother, Dee Tolleson; one sister, Mrs. Bill Caffee, Longview, Texas; two uncles, Otto Tolleson and Austin Tolleson; one aunt, Mrs. Ora Graham and other relatives. The deceased was reared in Broken Bow and finished high school here in 1924. Later she attended Lam Te Beauty College in Oklahoma City where she received a certificate and license to operate a beauty shop. Since that time she has been employed in this work in Broken Bow, first as an operator in the Callaham Beauty Shop and later purchased equipment and established a shop of her own, the Edwards Beauty Shop.
