ALICE GASKEY DIED IN THIS CITY THIS WEEK. The friends of Mrs. Alice Gaskey, regretted to learn of her death from influenza, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Brown, in this city, Sunday, October 12th. She was born December 25th, 1865, at Centralia, Ill., and was 68 years old. She was an excellent Christian woman, and devoted mother, and is survived by six sons and two daughters, her husband and two small children having passed away some seventeen years ago. The sons are Walter Gaskey and Ed Gaskey, of Texas; Lawrence Gaskey, of Wright City; and George Gaskey, of Broken Bow; the daughters are Mrs. Effie Bechtold, of Wright City, and Mrs. Laura Brown, of this city. The funeral services were held at the grave Monday afternoon at 2:00, Reverend Albert A. Puckett, officiating, after which interment was made at the old cemetery.
