German Dated: Monday February 15, 1971 McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma p. 6 col.7 = James German = James R. German, 47, Broken Bow, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday, February 12, at his home in Broken Bow from a gunshot wound. Born January 31, 1924 at Fort Towson, he had lived in McCurtain County most of his life. He was a disabled veteran of World War II and a member of McCurtain County Chapter 41, Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann; two sons, Gary D. and Homer Don German, both of Broken Bow; three daughters, Pearl Ann, Tammy Jean and Sandy Lee German, all of Broken Bow; one stepson, William Vance Shrum of Broken Bow; his mother, Mrs. Pearl German of Broken Bow; four sisters, Mrs. Mable Pole, Mrs. Agnes Richardson, Mrs. Bernice Lambert and Mrs. Pauline Reed, all of Broken Bow, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 14, in the Broken Bow Norwood-Welch Funeral Chapel.
