Saturday in the Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home chapel, Broken Bow, with the Rev. Melvin Baker and Bro. Mark McGeehee officiating. Burial was in Glover cemetery. Gibson died July 19 at St. Michael’s Hospital, Texarkana, Texas. He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Clover, the son of Walter and Beulah Gibson and was a lifetime McCurtain County resident. He married Darlene Engler on April• 11, 1959, in Hugo. Gibson was a rancher, a retired heavy-equipment operator and a member of the Assembly of God, Glover. He was preceded in death by his father and by one brother, Abb Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gibson, Broken Bow; four daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Johnny Stevens, Foreman, Ark.; Tonya and Mike Converse, Broken Bow; Rhonda and Jon Paul Storey, Connifer, Cob.; and Kelly and Keith Furer, Henryetta; his mother, Beulah Gibson, Clover; two brothers, William Gibson and Elton Gibson, both of Broken Bow; five sisters, Vivian McKeever, Idabel; and Mary McKeever, Mildred Westbrook, Rosa Lee Harcrow and Bonnie Colson, all of Clover; eight grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
