GOODE of Valiant were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Felker Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. George HARVEY Jr. and the Rev. Willard KIPER officiating. Interment was held in the Moran Cemetery in Valliant under the direction of Huckleberry Funeral Service of Valliant. GOODE died Sunday at McCurtain Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. He was a member of the Felker Free Will Baptist Church and one of the oldest members of the Soil Conservation District. He was born Oct. 15. 1900 in Franklin County Texas. He married Cleo Orane BEAN on May 8,1931 in Hagensport , Texas, and the couple moved to McCurtain County on Dec.23,1937 from Talco,Texas. Survivors include his wife, Orane , of the home, and a sister, Corine BAUGHT of Bowie , Texas. MY NOTE: I have included a couple of Newspaper articles that seem to tie in B.G. GOODE Charles H GOODE suffered a painful accident Thursday afternoon of last week while skinning a beaver. His knife slipped and stuck into his left arm severing a blood vessel about six inches above the wrist. He was rushed to Hugo Memorial Hospital by Roy FENNELL , where the vessel was repaired and the wound sutured. He returned to Hugo this Thursday to have the stiches removed. Second paragraph below this one: M.C. BEAN of Talco, Texas visited his father , W. T. BEAN, in the C.H.
