Harkey Dated: Wednesday June 4, 1958 Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette Idabel, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma p.1 col.6 = Mrs. M. L. Harkey Succumbs Monday = Mrs. Marvin L. Harkey (Emma Beggs), 68, west of Broken Bow, died at her home at 5 a.m. Monday following an extended illness. Born February 20, 1890, in Arkansas, she had resided in McCurtain county since 1918, most of that time being at Holly Creek until the family moved recently to their present home. She came to McCurtain county from DeKalb, Texas. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Cyle Harkey, Broken Bow, and Clement Harkey, Stigler; one daugahter, Mrs. Walter Irons, Stratford, Calif. one brother, Henry Beggs, Broken Bow two sisters, Mrs. R. M. Ramsey Broken Bow, and Mrs. Lewis Adams, DeKalb, Tex. and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Missionary Baptist church of Holly Creek with Rev. E.M. Bain, Sulphur Springs officiating.
