All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Holly Creek Cemetery--Holly Creek OK Obituary: Marvin Leo Harkey McCurtain Gazette Idabel, Oklahoma March 4, 1964 MARVIN LEO HARKEY HOLLY CREEK LONG TIME RESIDENT, DIES Holly Creek Free Will Baptist church was the scene of services March 3 for Marvin Leo Harkey, 73, who died march 2, at 7:35 a.m. at his home west of Broken Bow. Rev. Swearingin, Baptist minister of Texarkana, officiated and Norwood-Welch directed Interment in Holly Creek cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Lee Ancil Harkey, Morris Harkey, Donald Harkey, Ray Harkey, Joe Harkey, Wendell Harkey, Steve Jennings and Ronald Warren. Mr. Harkey was born on January 21, 1892 at Bryan Mills, Texas He has lived in this area for 45 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two sons, Cyle of Broken Bow and Clement of Stigler; one daughter, Mrs. Walter Irons of Lemoore, Calif., and two brothers, Paul Harkey of Idabel and B.E. (Bill) Harkey of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs. Reba Mayo of Prestonburg, Ky., Mrs. Harry Rimmer of Idabel and Mrs. Clyde Emery of Dallas, and by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Among other relatives coming from out of the county for services were Mr. and Mrs. Clement Harkey and Sons Donald and Ray of Stigler, Mrs. Irons, the Clyde Emerys' and J.
