Obituary: Lillian Henthorne

Lillian Maudie Fowler Henthorne, 86, Valliant, died Friday in 
McCurtain Memorial Hospital.       

Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God 
Church of Valliant with the Rev. Leland Burkett officiating.  Burial 
in Moran Cemetery is under direction of Norwood Funeral Home of 
Idabel.        

Mrs. Fowler was born Oct. 24, 1901 in Doaksville, I.T. She had lived 
in McCurtain County all her life and was a member of the Assembly of 
God Church.       

In 1917 in Choctaw County she married Samuel Glover Henthorne, who 
preceded her in death in 1945.       

Survivors include four sons, Lawrence Henthorne, Sweethome, Oregon, 
Edward Fowler Henthorne, Idabel; four daughters, Dorcus Unruh, Queen 
City, Texas, Okema Luna, Valliant, Leavis Morris, Baton Rouge, La., 
Maudie Pearl Henthorne, Oklahoma City; three sisters. Jean Evans, 
Parmar, Idaho, Betty Strickland, Millerton, Gertrude Songer, Hugo; 42 
grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and four great-great 
grandchildren.
