McCurtain County Local Newspaper: Aug. 28, 1924

TOM HOLCOMB DIED AT SLICK.

Joe Holcomb received notification this week of the death of his 
brother, Tom Holcomb, of Slick.  Mr. Holcomb had been ill about 
twenty days with typhoid fever.  He died Sunday, August 24th, and was 
buried at Slick Monday. 

Joe Holcomb was not at home Sunday and failed to receive the message 
in time to attend the funeral.

Broken Bow friends extend sympathy and condolence to the bereaved 
family.
