All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Jackson, Katherine Evarts Born in Valliant, Oklahoma on October 18, 1915 to Lassiter and Marjorie Townsend, Katherine was the second of nine children. She came to California with her family during the Dust Bowl Days. Katherine worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Company where she retired after 20 years of service. Her family was her passion for living. She looked forward to having her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren visit as often as they could. She always had something cooking on the stovetop just in case. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwain Jackson; her brothers, Robert, Dale, Boyce, and Dorse Townsend; her sister, Helen Songer; and her grandson, Donald Neal. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Tillman, Joyce Parker, and Dolores Woods; her children, Marie (Lawrence) Wheeler, Mary Smith, Charlene Neal, and Charles (Kathy) Evarts; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great- grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. Services for family and close friends, will be held Wednesday, June 27th, 11:00 a.m., at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner Avenue.
