All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK Obituary:Sterling Jacobs Hand Dated: Nov. 1958 Newspaper:McCurtain County, Oklahoma =Funeral Services held here Monday for Sterling Jacobs= Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Broken Bow Assembly of God Church for Sterling Price Jacobs, 81, who died Friday in the St. Joseph Hospital in Paris, Texas. Rev. R. A. Highsmith, Rev. B. Mitchell, Rev. R. R. Craig, and Rev. Lawrence Langley officated. Mr. Jacobs was born March 1, 1877 in Arkansas and moved to McCurtian County in 1901, where he served as county commissioner, district 1. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and a retired farmer. Arrangements and burial in the Broken Bow cemetery was under direction of Coffey Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jim Mac Hastings, P. I. Deaver, Earl Cunurence, Lemuel Sandridge, Stewart Ligon, and Travis McIntyre. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. T. O.
