All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Moran Cemetery--Valliant OK McCurtain County Local Newspaper: November 26, 2003 PAULINE JAMES Funeral services for Pauline James, 81, Valliant, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Valliant, with the Rev. Bobby Stuart and Chaplain Woody Barnett officiating. Burial was in Moran Cemetery, Valliant, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home, Valliant. James died Saturday in Broken Bow. She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Klondike, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Stanford and Allie Peebles Stanford and had lived most of her life in the Valliant area. She married J.C. James on Nov. 9, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska. They owned and operated James General Store on Pine Creek Road for several years. James was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wright City, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies auxiliary. She was of the Baptist faith. James was preceded in death by her husband, James, in January 1974; by a son, Tom Chambers, on Sept. 13, 1990; by two sisters, June Toelkes and Martha Edwards; and by two brothers, Robert Stanford and Fred Stanford. Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Fred Chambers Jr., Virginia Beach, Va.; David Chambers and Paul James, both of Valliant; and Rita and Jacob James IV, Golden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Allison and Ralph Coxsey, Biloxi, Miss; and Jakelyn and Stanley Anderson, Golden; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
