JENNINGS DIED FRIDAY AT LOCAL HOSPITAL Was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Harkey Newspaper: Broken Bow News, Broken Bow, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma Date: October 1944 Mrs. Ivadell Jennings, 26 year-old wife of S-Sgt. Thad Jennings, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Friday night at the Williams hospital, where she was admitted Friday afternoon. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holly Creek Baptist church, with Rev. John Wallace, Pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. E.M. Bain, Sulphur Springs, Texas. Burial was made in Holly Creek cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral home.Pallbearers were Clarence Lane, Rushing Rhoden, Floyd Marshall, Everett Singleton, L. B. Whiteside and J. J. Billingsley. Mrs. Jennings was born at DeKalb, Texas on November 12, 1917 and moved to Oak Hill community with her parents when she was a small child. She was a graduate of Idabel High School and united with the Missionary Baptist church at Holly Creek 12 years ago. Survivors are the husband; one daughter, Gloria, one son, Stephen Franklin Jennings; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Harkey, Oak Hill, one sister, Miss Nancy Lou Harkey, Richmond, California; three brothers, Cyle Harkey, Broken Bow, Rt. 1; Clement Harkey, Durant; Pfc. Erwin Harkey, Fort Knox, Ky., Grandmothers, Mrs. L. E. Harkey, Idabel and Mrs. Nancy Beggs, Oak Hill. Mrs. Jennings was a niece of Mrs. H. L. Rimmer and J. P. Harkey, Idabel. Sgt.
