All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Old Cemetery--Broken Bow OK McCurtain County Local Newspaper: May 23, 1924 JESS JETER DIED FROM KICK OF A MULE Saturday afternoon while Jess Jeter was working in his field, he was kicked in the side by a mule, and was found some time later in a critical condition and unable to get up, by a young man who happened to pass that way. He immediately put Mr. Jeter in his wagon and brought him home, and every thing possible was done to save him, but to no avail, he passed away Tuesday morning at 3:30. Mr. Jeter had lived in Broken Bow a number of years, and his many friends here regretted to learn of his sudden death. He is survived by a wife and four children, to whom the sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended in this, their hour of sorrow. Interment was made in the old cemetery Tuesday afternoon at 3:00, Rev. Albert A.
