All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hillcrest Memorial Park--Bakersfield CA Mable K Johnson "Polly" 1911-2003 Polly was born on April 3, 1911, in Hochatown, Oklahoma Territory to parents, James and Susan Lingo. She passed away peacefully on Mothers Day, Sunday, May 11, 2003 in Bakersfield. Polly worked for many years for the Bakersfield City School District in several of the cafeterias. Most of the students and teachers would remember her for the scarf or handkerchief she always wore on her shoulder. Polly loved to crochet afghans for her family members, she loved holidays, dinner with her family and getting together with all of her church friends. Known as a prayer warrior, Polly has always had a kind and gentle spirit. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and loved her. Polly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 35 years, Steven Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Reeves of Bakersfield; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandchild. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Thursday, May 15, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary.
