S.J. JOHNSON AGED 70 DIED MONDAY A.M.

WAS FATHER OF MRS. S.A. WATSON, OF THIS CITY -- INTERMENT AT CANFIELD

Mr. S.J. Johnson died at his home near Little River Monday morning after
an illness of two years.  He was born at Atlanta, GA., and would have been
70 years of age on May 29.  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at
the Church of Christ, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.W. Starnes, after
which the body was laid to rest in Canfield cemetery.  He is survived by
his wife, five children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all
of whom were present at his death.  The children are:  Mrs. S.A. Watson, 
Eddie Johnson, Bud Johnson and Mrs. Mary Jinkins of this city and Claude
Johnson of Sour Lake, Texas.
