F. JOHNSON DIED SUNDAY MORNING __________ FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON AT HOLLY CREEK CEMETERY William F. Johnson, age 76 years and five months, died at his home two miles west of Holly Creek, Sunday morning at 5:00 after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at the Holly Creek cemetery Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Dr. Stephen B. Williams, paster of the First Presbyterian church of Broken Bow. Burial was in the Holly Creek cemetery and was under the direction of the Skaggs Undertaking Company of Idabel. The funeral was attended by a large crowd of relatives and friends, a number of Broken Bow people being present. Mr. Johnson was born in Popular Bluff, Mo., and came to this state at the age of twenty-one years. He lived in the Lukfata community many years and was well known and liked by everyone, being one of the leaders in the development of the agricultural pursuits of this section. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sophia Anderson Johnson; two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Lambert, Atoka and Miss Gerite Belle Johnson, who is attending at Chilocco, Oklahoma; seven sons, Dan Johnson, Seminole; Henry Johnson, Idabel; Charlie Johnson, Dick Johnson, Jim Johnson, Mack Johnson and Leo Johnson, all of Holly Creek, and several grandchildren.
