All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Obituary: Harrell Leopard Handwritten on page- McCurtain Idabel Gazette- Wed. 9 - 4 - 1940 FALL FROM TRUCK FATAL TO YOUTH Harrell Leopard, 16 - year - old youth of Battiest, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at the Sanitarium of Paris of internal injuries recieved when a tree-limb knocked him from a truck on which he was riding. He had been carried to the Sanitarium about 2 p.m. Saturday. Funeral rites were held at Battiest Monday afternoon with Rev. J. W. Henry, pastor of the Nazarene church of Idabel officiating. Burial was under direction of Coffey Funeral home. Pallbearers were William Harris, Harmon Griffin. A. Thorntonbill. Altus McDonald, Billy Littlepage and J. N. Pinkerton. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.G.Leopard of Battiest .
