LEWIS IS BURIED SUNDAY James L . LEWIS, 72,Mount Zion , died at 8;50 a.m. Friday following an extended illness. Born in Polk county , Ark. ,July 17,1882, he had resided in the Mount Zion community since before statehood, moving from Red River county, Tex. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Assembly of God church. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Tommy LEWIS, Wright City; Clarence LEWIS , Idabel and Jessie LEWIS, Garvin; three daughters, Mrs Foy HURST, Oklahoma City, and Mrs Bud BATCHELOR, Wright City, and Mrs Teet WILLIAMSON, Garvin; one brother, Forest LEWIS, McKinny , Tex; 34 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wheelock church with Rev. A.L.DAILEY officiating. Arrangements and burial in Wheelock cemetery were under direction of Wilson funeral home. Bearers were, Vernon PORTER, George MONK, R.J.WHITAKER, R.D.
