Obituary: Lewis Services are Held Today

Dated:July 11, 1989

Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma.

Tommie Lewis, 66, of Wright City, died Sunday (July 9, 1987) at St. 
Joseph's Hospital in Paris, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today in the Spirit Rock Church 
at Millerton with the Rev. Troy Ruffin officiating with interment in 
Wheelock Cemetery under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of 
Idabel.

Lewis was a member of of the Spirit Rock Church of Millerton and a 
retired employee of Weyerhaeuser Co.'s Wright City Plant.  Born March 
25, 1923 at Bethel, he had lived all of his life in McCurtain County.

Survivors include two sons, Roger and Robert Lewis, Both of Wright 
City, four daughters, Brenda Lewis of Idabel, Cookie Pitchford, 
Lillian Gross and Ruby McDonald, all of Wright City, one brother 
Clarence Lewis, Idabel; two sisters, Tincie Batchelor of Altus and 
Myrtle Hurst of Midwest City; and 10 grandchildren.
