Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home. Mr. Madding was born Feb. 9, 1941, in Plainview. He had lived about six years in Haworth, Okla., moving from Longview. Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Jackson of Idabel; a son, Perry Madding of Longview; two sisters, Roberta Fitzgerald of Clovis, N.M., and Joyce Walker of Amarillo; two brothers, Chester Madding of Olympia, Wash., and Vardell Madding of Longview; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 19, 2003 ========= Robert Lee Burnett ALLIGATOR POINT, Fla. - Robert Lee Burnett, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, in Tallahassee. Private services were held Monday on the beach. Arrangements are by Harvey-Young Funeral Home of Crawfordville. Mr. Burnett was born in Goodnight, Texas, and lived most of his life in Amarillo, Texas. He was a retired biochemist and an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a master gardener at Wakulla County Extension Office. He was a part-time ranger at Bald Point State Park. He moved to Alligator Point in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Bill Burnett and wife, Nancy, of Amarillo; a sister, Bonnye Burnett of Dallas; and two grandchildren, Rob Burnett and Jessica Burnett, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to the Sea Turtle Fund, APTA, P.O. Box 213, Panacea, FL 32346; or to the American Cancer Society.
