All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Octavia Cemetery--Octavia OK Obit for Evadne Maggard Mrs. Evadne Maggard 28 March Mrs. Evadne Maggard, 92, of Octavia, died Tuesday in the Talihina Nursing Home. She was born March 16, 1897 at Octavia. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Octavia Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Rogers and Rev. Robert Thomason officiating. Interment was in the Octavia Cemetery under the direction of Beasley- Wood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Steve Maggard, Michael Kelley, Daniel Maggard, David Maggard, Charles Maggard, and Tommy Phillips. Mrs. Maggard was the daughter of the late Raymond Wilson and the late Mrs. Matilda Smith Wilson and was united in marriage to Ballard Maggard on February 29, 1920 at Octavia. She had made her home around Octavia all her life, was a housewife, a member of the Octavia Baptist Church, and a Gold Star Mother. Survivors are husband, Ballard Maggard, Octavia, Okla.; five sons, Leon Maggard, McAlester, Okla., John Maggard, Raytown, Mo., Doug Maggard, Antlers, Okla., Sam Maggard, Monticello, Luke Maggard, Wichita, Kans.; three daughters, Mrs. Evadna McPherson, Kelson, Washington, Mrs. Pauline Davis, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Ramona Phillips, Octavia, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Rayma Wilson, Octavia, Okla., Mrs. Imogene White, Octavia, Okla., Mrs. Oneita Wilson, Octavia, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; five great- great-grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
