All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Holly Creek Cemetery--Holly Creek OK William Porter Massey Funeral services for William Porter Massey, 88, of Broken Bow were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in Lukfata Baptist Church with Rev. Cletus Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Holly Creek Cemetery with Norwood-Welch Funeral Home handling arrangements. Massey died Thursday, Oct. 20, in an Idabel hospital. Born Feb. 6, 1885, in Hunt County, Tex., Massey moved to Broken Bow in 1909 from Texas. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Massey of Broken Bow, four sons, Bayard Massey of Broken Bow, Travis Massey of Riverside, Calif., Douglas Massey of Broken Bow and Haskell Massey of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Tillery of Broken Bow, Mrs.Augustine Crowell of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Mrs. Pauline Davis of Horatio, Ark.; a brother, Lee Massey of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Moore and Mrs. Flora Hall, both of Oklahoma City and Mrs.Maggie Chancie of Sulphur Springs, Tex.; a half sister, Mrs. Fannie Eden of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two step-sons, Willie Passmore and John Passmore of Broken Bow; four step-daughters, Mrs. Ftances Dean of Burney, Calif., Mrs. Mamie Bruner, Mrs. Lara Bell Cotney and Mrs. Mary Pradmore, all of Broken Bow; 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
