MRS. MATTHEWS DIED SATURDAY

FUNERAL WAS HELD SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE BROKEN BOW CEMETERY

Funeral services for Mrs. O.H. Matthews, of Oak Hill, were held at the 
Broken Bow cemetery Sunday afternoon at 2:00 by Rev. M.S. Peek, pastor of
the First Christian Church of this city in the presence of a large
concourse of friends and relatives.  Mrs. Matthews died Saturday morning
about 11:00 at the family home after an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Ertha and R.W. Matthews; an
aged father, one brother, two sisters and two half sisters.  She was 34
years old and was born near Waldron, Arkansas.

Mrs. Matthews was a devoted mother and wife, and he life's example will
long outlive her.  The News joins in expressions of the deepest sympathy
for the bereaved family.
