Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Addington Baptist Church with Dee Bowen and Mike Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home in Comanche. Johnny was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Belcherville, Texas, to E.L. and Dollie Barnett Mayfield. He married Bobbie Whitt on Dec. 23, 1987, in Moore. Mr. Mayfield was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was on the Board of Directors of Senior Citizens of Eagletown. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Johnny Mayfield and his wife, Tanya, of Paducah, Texas, and Cliff Lindsay of Foster; seven daughters, Kathy Eschiti and her husband, Louis, of Walters, Jo Dean and her husband, Robert, of Allen, Lou Griffing and her husband, Kurt, of Manor, Texas, Betty Bowen and her husband, Dee, of Comanche, Reva Clark and Bobby Bowden of Comanche, Treva Travelstead and her husband, Bud, of Lavinia, Tenn., and Jerri Ann Fick and her husband, Chris, of Ardmore; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Wanda Mayfield of Bowie, Texas, and Kenneth and Louise Mayfield of Mooreland; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lee Booher of San Pedro, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; 34 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Buck Willis and Donald and Ann Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bearers will be Bud Travelstead, Jerrell Bowen, Benny Downey, Donald Cunningham, Buck Willis and Terry Moorehead. Honorary bearers are Bobby Bowden and Chris Fick.
