All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Denison Cemetery--Idabel OK The Broken Bow News--October 1, 1970 Earnest McCombs Funeral services for Earnest McCombs, 73, of Idabel, who died Wednesday in a Texarkana hospital, were Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Norwood-Welch funeral chapel in Idabel with the Rev. Delbert Carter officiating. Burial was in the Denison cemetery. Mr. McCombs was born March 21, 1897in Brownstown, Ark. He had lived in Idabel since 1912 after moving from Arkansas and was a merchant, a member of the United Methodist Church anda World War I veteran. He taught in the schools of McCurtain County and had served as county school superintendent. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel McCombs, one brother, John McCombs of Idabel; and one sister, Mrs. B. C.
