Pastor Stan Johnson will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford. Pastor Stan Johnson and Cascade Masonic Lodge No. 208 A.F. & A.M., Shady Cove, will officiate. Mr. Minor, 83, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 19, 2001) at his daughter's home in Central Point. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Democratic Party, c/o the Democratic National Committee, 430 S. Capitol St. S.E., Washington, D.C. 20003. He was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Eagletown, Okla., a son of Denis and Della Minor. He moved to the Rogue Valley 62 years ago from Oklahoma. Mr. Minor was a timber cutter at Medco in Medford, retiring in 1980. He was a charter city councilman in Shady Cove and helped start the Upper Rogue Little League. He was a member of the West Main Church of Christ, the Griffin Creek Grange and was a member and past Master of Cascade Masonic Lodge No. 208. Mr. Minor enjoyed gardening, fishing, politics and hunting. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Hamilton, Central Point, and Lou Barris, Medford; two stepsons, Ron Harvey, Medford, and Steve Harvey, in Hawaii; two brothers, Cecil, Shady Cove, and Elton, Corning, Calif.; two sisters, Katie Uptain and Louise Valdez, both Shady Cove; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Linda Minor in 1976, and Ivanel Minor in 1998; two brothers and two sisters.
