The graveside service for Fred Daniel Mitchell will be at 11 a.m. 
Friday at Scenic Hills Memorial Park.

Mr. Mitchell, 89, of Medford, died June 11, 2003, at Medford 
Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

He was born May 12, 1914, in Wright City, Okla., to Carrie and Dan 
Mitchell, and was raised in Oklahoma. He moved to Oregon in 1941, 
where he lived in Klamath Falls, Ashland and Medford.

Mr. Mitchell was a concrete finisher. He also worked on area ranches.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Jack, Eagle Point, and Freddy, in 
Georgia; a daughter, Vernetta Kirkland, Phoenix; two brothers, R.W., 
Klamath Falls, and Ray, Ashland; 15 grandchildren; and numerous 
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, three 
brothers and three sisters.

Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 
Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
