Obituary: AUSTIN MOONEY

Austin Perry Mooney, 77, of Garvin, died Firday (May 5, 1995) in 
Idabel. He was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Broken Bow.

A heavy equipment operator, Mooney was a member of the Assembly of 
God Church in Millerton and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. 
He was married June 24, 1940 in Valliant, and had lived in the 
commnity all his life.  

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Mae Mooney of Garvin; one son, 
Bill Mooney of Garvin; one brother, Harrison Mooney of Idabel; one 
sister, Willie Bastible of Garvin; five grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Millerton 
Assembly of God Church with Sister Clara Bridges Officiating. Burial 
will follow at Wheelock Cemetery under direction of Nation Funeral 
Home of Idabel.
