Obituary: George W. Mooney

George W. Mooney, 73, Garvin, died at approximately 11:20 a.m. 
Wednesday in the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.      

Born March 5, 1900, in Kentucky, Mooney had been a resident of Garvin 
since 1957, moving from Texas. He was a retired carpenter.     

Survivors include one son, George E. Mooney of Fort Worth, Tex.; four 
brothers, Troy of Garvin, Harrison of Idabel, Tilford of Oklahoma 
City and Austin Mooney of Klackamas, Ore., and two sisters, Willie 
Bastible of Garvin and Mrs. Grace Williams of New Boston, Tex.     

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Wheelock 
Presbyterian Church, with the Rev.David Lemon officiating.     

Arrangements and burial in the Wheelock cemetery will be under the 
direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
