All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Forest Hill Cemetery--Garvin OK Obituary: Jim Henry Mooney Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma Dated: April, 1996 Mooney Rites Set Thursday Jim Henry Mooney, 61, of Idabel, died Monday in Garvin. He was born March 27, 1935, in Valliant. Mooney was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was a switch operator for the Weyerhaeuser Company, a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Idabel Church of God. He and Christine Mooney were married Oct. 28, 1961, in Idabel. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Troy and Dessie Bushers Mooney, and an Uncle. For the last four years, God has been good to Jim. He brought him from death and let him have four good years. It was time for him to go home to be with Jesus. He will be greatly missed by all who had come in contact with him. Survivors include his wife, Christine Mooney of the home; two daughters, Kim Mooney of Idabel and Heather Mooney of Broken Bow; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Tommy Miller of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Wayne Mooney of Holly Creek; two sisters, Della Mae Patterson of Washington and Linda Shelton of Broken Bow; two grandchildren, Melonie and Mindy Miller of Las Vegas, Nev.; a special little friend, Kaylyn Williamson, who will miss him very much; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Norwood-Leonard Chapel in Idabel with the Rev. Jerry Capps officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Fowler.
