DEATH OF IDABEL CITIZEN

(From McCurtain Gazette)

Van Morgan, one of our good citizens and a pioneer of our city, 
quietly passed away Wednesday morning after an illness of over a 
year.  Mr. Morgan has been in bad health for some time and only a 
short time ago made up his mind to retire from business life, but he 
continued to grow worse and was carried to the Paris Sanitarium a few 
weeks ago but received no material benefits.  He was returned home 
this week and lingered for a few days, when he died.

Mr. Morgan was a good citizen and has been an employee in the store 
of his brother-in-law, J.C. Joplin, for several years.  He leaves a 
wife and several children.  The people of Idabel regret the passing 
away of Mr. Morgan and extend sympathy to the family and friends.  He 
lived a quiet Christian life and had many friends in this city.
