Obituary: W.C. Newman

Dated: Wednesday, October 25, 1933

Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma       

Death Claims Man On His Birthday On Last Saturday   

Funeral services for W. C. Newman, aged 78, who died on his birthday, 
Saturday, October 21st, at his home two miles east of Holly Creek, 
were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Holly Creek 
cemetery.  He had been ill for more than a year.   

Rev. James Davidson officiated. A choir under the direction of Floyd 
Cotney furnished music.  

Pallbearers were Roy Stewart, Jewel Stewart, B. F. Carter and J. D. 
Butler.   

He is survived by his wife, three children, Mrs. Carter Inskip, 
Rawliegh, West Va.; Lester Newman, Holly Creek; and James Newman, 
Gradenville, Fla.  Mrs. Newman and Lester were the only ones able to 
attend the funeral. Burial was in the Holly Creek Cemetery, Skaggs 
Funeral Home was in charage of the arrangements.
