SEVERAL CHILDREN BITTEN IN PAST WEEK -- ONE DEATH. Fred Rice, aged about 13 years, died at his home at Clebit, at 10:00 Tuesday night as a result of being bitten by a mad dog about three weeks ago. He was bitten while trying to treat some dogs which were having fits. He showed the first signs of hydrophobia about 4:00, Tuesday morning. Dr. Hamilton, of Cebit, being unable to do anything for him, brought him to Dr. R.H. Sherrill, of this city, Tuesday afternoon. It was impossible to do anything to save him at that late hour, and he suffered a horrible death.
