January 9, 1930

AGED LADY DIED AT IDABEL TUESDAY

Mrs. Prudence Robberson, aged 75 years, pioneer woman, and one of Idabel's
best loved citizens, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary
Cheatham, at 10 p.m., Monday January 6th, her death being primarily
caused from the infirmities of old age.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mrs. Cheatham 
Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. S.O. Pace, of Broken Bow, assisted by
Rev. Norris Gilliam, of Idabel, and interment was made in the Canfield
cemetery near Idabel. 

Mrs. Robberson was survived by her children as follows: Mrs. Avie Word,
of Wright City, Mrs. Mary Cheatham and Tommy Robberson, of Idabel, and a
large number of grand children and other relatives.

Mrs. Robberson was a pioneer citizen of that community and was loved and
respected by all who knew her, and many will be made sad in the knowledge
of her death.  One by one, the older citizens pass from among us, and
truly, in the death of Mrs. Robberson, Idabel has lost one of its most
gracious women.  A good neighbor and a great soul has passed on.  May her
voyage be peaceful.
