::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper: July 19, 1928

G.B. SHROUDER WAS BURIED TUES.

George B. Shrouder, 50 years of age, of this city, died at the Paris 
Sanitarium, Paris, Texas, Tuesday, July 17 at 3:00 a.m., following an 
operation for cancer.  He was accompanied to Paris by R.D. Lackey, of 
this city, and had been there a week at the time of his death.  
Although he had not been well for a number of years, his death was a 
shock to his family.  Mr. Shrouder was well known in Broken Bow, 
having resided here for a number of years and has a host of friends 
here who regret to learn of his death.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Broken Bow 
cemetery by Rev. G.M. McNeilly, pastor of the First Baptist church of 
this city.  Burial followed which was in charge of I.O.O.F. Lodge of 
Broken Bow.

He is survived by his wife and five children.

The News extends sympathy for the bereaved family.
