I.R. SILVEY DIED HERE SUNDAY ___________ FUNERAL SERVICE HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON AT BROKEN BOW CEMETERY Mrs. I.R. Silvey, aged 68 years, died at the home of her son, Ivan Silvey, in the southeast part of town, Sunday afternoon about 4:45 o'clock, her death resulting from a ten weeks illness of pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the Broken Bow cemetery Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. M.S. Peek, pastor of the First Christian Church. A large crowd of friends and relatives were present at the funeral, and the beauti- ful floral offerings attested the esteem in which the deceased was held. Mrs. Silvey was a splendid lady and was loved by all who knew her. She united with the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Wayne County, Illinois at an early age and took an active part in church activities, and was always in search of an opportunity to be of assistance to her neighbors and others who might be in trouble. She was a devoted mother and wife, and her life's example will long outlive her. She is survived by her husband; four sons and five daughters, as follows. Ivan Silvey, Broken Bow; Archie and Oscar Silvey, Oklahoma City; Gene Silvey, Peublo, Colo.; Mrs. R.G. Miller and Mrs. H.S. Young, Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. Gladys James, Moyers; Mrs. Tom M. Simpson and Miss Ilah Silvey, Oklahoma City. Mr. and Mrs. Silvey came to Broken Bow two years ago from Oklahoma City and have been making their home here with their son, Ivan Silvey and family.
