AGED CITIZEN DIED WEDNESDAY P.M.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TODAY AT THE BROKEN BOW CEMETERY

A.M. Slaton, aged 70 years, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of 
Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Poole, with whom he has made his home here the last 
ten years. He was sick several days before his death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.R. Luton, pastor of the 
First Methodist Church, at the Broken Bow cemetery today (Thursday) 
at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Slaton is survived by three sons and three daughters, all of whom 
were present at the funeral.  They are:  R.J. Slaton, Annona, Texas; 
J.R. Slaton, Poteau; L.E. Slaton, Annona, Texas; Mrs. Ima Cox, Avery, 
Texas; Mrs. Audie Lewis, Avery, Texas; and Mrs. J.N. Poole, Broken 
Bow.

The bereaved family have the deepest sympathy of many friends.
