::Old Cemetery--Broken Bow OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper: 1926

MRS. J.A. SMITH DEAD

It is with regret we chronicle the sudden death of Mrs. J.A. Smith, 
which occurred at her home 2 1/2 miles east of town, shortly after 
she had partaken of a hearty dinner, Monday, May 31st.  Mrs. Smith 
was apparently in good health, although she had had occasional 
attacks with her heart.  She went to work in the garden soon after 
dinner, and was found in a dying condition a few minutes later by 
members of her family.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith made their home with their son, O.K. Smith. 

She was a devoted wife and mother, and the News joins the many 
friends of the family inextending sympathy and condolence in this 
their hour of sorrow.

Interment was made at the old cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
