McCurtain County Local Newspaper: Aug. 26, 1926

JOSEPH W. TAAFFE

Foreman, Ark., Aug. 20. -- Joseph Taaffe, of Tom, died in a hospital 
at  Vinita Monday, August 16th.  The remains were brought to this 
city for burial and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery 
Wednesday night after the arrival of the east bound Frisco passenger.  
Funeral services were in charge of Rev. J.L. Leonard, and were 
attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.

Deceased is survived by his wife and two children, George and Ruth, 
who live at Tom, Oklahoma.  Also by one brother and five sisters, as 
follows:  Mrs. Annie T. Arnote, Antlers, Mrs. D.F. Rainey, Ardmore, 
F.D. Taaffe, Idabel, Mrs. Mary Saul, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. J.W. Kales, 
Kirkland, Ill.; Mrs. Maude Knight, Atoka.
