Talkington, J.B. 1918 - 2005

J.B. Talkington, 86, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at home.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of 
Fort Worth.

Mr. Talkington was born Aug. 11, 1918, to A.J. and Ida Talkington in 
Valiant, Okla. He was a retired volunteer firefighter for the White 
Settlement Volunteer Fire Department. J.B. loved to hunt and fish. He 
was a loving father and grandfather and never met a stranger. He was 
preceded in death by his wife, Hattie; a daughter, Patsy Sherwood; 
granddaughter, Dawn Deponte; and son-in-law, James Cordes.

Survivors: Daughter, Judy Cordes; grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Sherwood 
and George Deponte III; and great-grandchildren, Jason Deponte, 
Justin Cordes, Wesley Byrd, Ashley Lowery and Leslie Cordes.
