She was 78. Tatum was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Valiant, Okla., to James and Jane Hen- thorne Peden. She married William Tatum on July 7, 1943. She worked in the aviation industry during World War II. She later worked on a produce farm, on tree farms and in the retail clothing industry. She also helped her husband build a new home. She enjoyed flowers, working outdoors, camping, fishing and reading. She was a member of TOPS. Survivors include her husband; three sons, John, Joe and Don, all of Cheshire; a brother, Lenard Peden of La Pine; two sisters, Bertha Henthorne of Sweet Home and Ruby Nowell of Wright City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A grandchild, Kris Tatum, died in 1995.
