Thank you Jesus for taking her pain away. We will love her and miss her for the rest of our days. Mom, known to family and friends as "The Queen" was born to Edgar and Ethel Price in Idabel, Oklahoma on September 17, 1937. She was the youngest child of six children. Later the family settled in Kern County. Mom went to Bakersfield High School, this is where she would meet the "love of her life", John Taylor all the way from Hawaii to go to Bakersfield College. They were just coming up on their 50th anniversary on May 31st. After Dad retired from the Fire Department in 1979 they spent every waking moment together, they were truly in love. Mom was full of spirit and love. She was kind hearted and at the same time like to speak her mind. She taught us to be independent and to take care of ourselves, she was always there for us. She taught us to forgive and not to hold on to things. Mom and Dad spent a lot of time at Pismo Beach in their trailer. She loved being at the beach and everyone loved to visit with Mom and Dad in their trailer. They made many great friends over the years. She raised three children with our father, John Taylor. Oldest daughter, Lee Ann Moore, her husband, Gary and daughters, Mary and Taylor. Their first son, Price Taylor and his children, Keoni, Kahala and Kapena. Their youngest son, Tracy Taylor and his wife, Abby and their children, Noah, Jenna and Luke. Thank you Mom for taking such good care of us. Our thanks go out to Dr. Chin Lee and Carolyn Gentry from Kaiser and the wonderful staff at Optimal Hospice that helped us care for our Mom at home. At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Optimal Hospice or Kern County Alzheimer's Association.
