Born in Polk county, Ark. September 19,1882, he had resided in McCurtain county 13 years, moving from Spiro. He was a farmer and a member of the Methodist church. Rites were set for today at Spiro. He is survived by his widow; four sons, Bill, Roy and Charley , all of Spiro , and Leon TOBLER, Woodward; three daughters, Mrs Burl BLACKMAN, McAlester;Mrs. Mates SIMMS , Heavener; Mrs Ed ROBERTS, Tennessee; one brother , Mack TOBLER, Fort Smith, and six grandchildren. My note : This was the first husband of my Aunt, Myrtle Lewis Tobler Hurst.
