::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper:

August 20, 1936

J. D. TOLLESON DIED THURSDAY MORNING AFTER LONG ILLNESS

J.D. Tolleson, pioneer resident and cafe man of Broken Bow, died at his
home here this morning (Thursday) at 4:40 a.m., after an illness of several
months duration.  His health had not been good for a number of years
previous to his death.

Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church in Broken Bow,
Friday afternoon, August 21, at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Paul E. Ewing,
pastor officiating.  Burial will be made in the Broken Bow cemetery under
the direction of the Coffey Funeral Home of Idabel.

He is survived by his wife, one son, J.D. of Broken Bow; two daughters,
Mrs. Earl Edwards of Broken Bow and Mrs. Bill Caffey of Longview, Texas;
two brothers, Austin and Otto Tolleson of Broken Bow; two sisters, Mrs.
Sam Graham of Broken Bow and Mrs. Rosie Cox of El Dorado, Arkansas, and
four grand children.
