M. VANDIVER HELD FRIDAY AFTERNOON Funeral rites for Jasper Vandiver, age 43, were held at the First Baptist church in Broken Bow Friday afternoon at three o'clock, being conducted by Rev. R.H. Sneed, pastor, assisted by Rev. A.R. Luton, pastor of the Broken Bow Methodist church. Burial followed in Crown Hill cemetery, Broken Bow, under direction of the Broken Bow I.O.O.F. Lodge of which the deceased was a member. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Coffey Funeral Home, Idabel. Pallbearers were Joe Aaron, Henry Chester, Charlie Hall, Johnnie Guest, Louis Miller, and Jim Sanders. Mr. Vandiver, who died suddenly at his home in Broken Bow Thursday about noon, is survived by his wife and six children, as follows: Misses Pauline, Grace, and Opal Vandiver; J.C., Vance, and Donald Ray Vandiver; a grandson, Kenneth Wayne Clevenger; half-brother, Walter Alston; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Byrd and Miss Eleanor Vandiver, Oil City, La., and Mrs. Sallie Carlisle, Bryan Mills, Texas. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
