"GINA" WALTON Of Thousand Oaks, passed away peacefully at her home after a valiant and courageous two year battle with cancer. Gina was born in Idabel, Oklahoma to Essie and Jack Tyree on May 21, 1931. She had one sister, Marthine. Although they were eight years apart, they were still very close growing up. She met and married her college sweetheart, Jim Walton while attending Oklahoma State University. She graduated with honors and a degree in Home Economics. Shortly after their daughter Sherri was born, they moved to the San Fernando Val ley. After their son Greg was born, Virginia became a homemaker for the next 25 years. She was a wonderful mother and created a beautiful and loving home for her family. In 1987, she started her second career at Sunkist Growers in Sherman Oaks. After she retired, she moved to Thousand Oaks to be near her family. She was always the epitome of elegance, style and grace. Although she was an accomplished pianist, color consultant and had many other talents her real passion was ballroom dancing and had achi eved her life long dream of becoming a "silver level" dancer. Virginia was loved by everyone who's lives she touched. She was a wonderful, loyal friend and a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her two beloved children, Sheryl Ann and Gregory James; her granddaughter, Ashley D. Adams; and grandson, Brandon J. Adams. Memorial services will be held at Pierce Bros. Chapel in Westlake Village on Saturday, April 28, 2007, 2:30 p.m. In lieu o f flowers, donations in Gina's name can be made to Unity, contact unityonline.org or call (800) 669-0282.
